SPADE PRO CROSSOVER SURF Sizes: 5’3” x 18.5” x 2” x 21L / 5’7” x 19” x 2.2” x 24.9L   This season we've tweaked the Spade in a few important ways.   We've narrowed the width a bit to give the Spade's rail more contact with the water.  Loading up the rail on a bottom turn or right before an air trick is now much easier. The Spade also now has a bottom channel right through the tail for lift and speed.  We have added a 5th fin box to allow for a quad or a thruster fin configuration. To match the versatility of the Spade we’ve added an all new Pro Construction for a lighter, more responsive board. The Pro Construction starts with a light weight EPS core. Then the deck is reinforced with a high density honeycomb sandwich layer. Strategic UD carbon strips are added to control flex and add reinforcement. The Pro Session is the go-to board for when he waves get a bit bigger and when you want a board with maximum drive and carving ability. The Session loves to stay connected to the wave face for big drawn-out carves and butter smooth rail work. The 2020 Pro Session now also comes with the option to ride it as a quad (4 fin setup). Board features   Centre channel The first change we made is that we added a single centre channel on the bottom of the board, right between the feet. This increases the board upwind ability by reducing the rocker in the middle of the board. Making the board a bit more user friendly. When carving, the board follows the rail line which still has quite a bit of rocker, to allow for tight turns in the pocket. Double grab rails Another unique feature is the double grab rail. The Applino V2 now has grab rails on both the deck AND the bottom of the board. This gives an even better grip when doing board-off freestyle tricks. Outline and rocker The rocker is moderate to high. With a single concave running into a V behind the front fins. All there to make the board loose and snappy while maintaining control. The Applino V2 is thin throughout with a slightly wider outline compared to a more traditional Klokhouse Noseless. This makes the rail bite a bit more so you can really put pressure on the board when initiating a jump. The wider front gives you an easier landing area. Kick in the tail The added kick in the tail helps loosen up the board and it also helps when landing reverse. When designing the Gecko, we set off to create a strapless only board made for kiters who prefer a directional over a twin tip but primarily ride flatwater or choppy spots like Tarifa or Hood River.
